Device Traffic Analytics

The Device Traffic Analytics page provides visual insights into attendance activity across your devices. Use it to understand traffic patterns, identify peak hours, and monitor how employees authenticate.

Navigate to MonitoringAnalytics in the sidebar.

Use the date picker at the top of the page to choose which day to analyze. By default, today’s date is selected.

A row of summary cards shows key metrics for the selected day:

MetricDescription
Total trafficTotal number of attendance events recorded
Peak hourThe hour with the most attendance events
Active devicesNumber of devices that recorded at least one event

A line chart displays the number of attendance events per hour throughout the day. This helps you identify:

  • Morning rush — when most employees check in
  • Lunch break patterns — check-out/check-in activity around midday
  • End-of-day patterns — when most employees leave
  • Off-hours activity — unexpected events outside normal working hours

A pie chart shows how attendance events are distributed across your devices. This reveals:

  • Which entrances or locations are most heavily used
  • Whether any devices are underutilized
  • Potential bottlenecks at high-traffic devices

A chart showing the proportion of each authentication method used:

MethodDescription
FaceInfrared face recognition
FingerprintOptical fingerprint scan
RFID CardProximity card tap
PINNumeric code entry

This helps you understand which authentication methods your employees prefer and whether specific methods have adoption issues.

A heatmap grid with devices on one axis and hours on the other. Each cell’s color intensity represents the number of events for that device at that hour. The heatmap makes it easy to spot:

  • Which devices are busiest and when
  • Time-of-day patterns per location
  • Unused device-hour combinations
