Device Traffic Analytics
The Device Traffic Analytics page provides visual insights into attendance activity across your devices. Use it to understand traffic patterns, identify peak hours, and monitor how employees authenticate.
Accessing analytics
Section titled “Accessing analytics”Navigate to Monitoring → Analytics in the sidebar.
Selecting a date
Section titled “Selecting a date”Use the date picker at the top of the page to choose which day to analyze. By default, today’s date is selected.
Traffic summary
Section titled “Traffic summary”A row of summary cards shows key metrics for the selected day:
| Metric | Description |
|---|---|
| Total traffic | Total number of attendance events recorded |
| Peak hour | The hour with the most attendance events |
| Active devices | Number of devices that recorded at least one event |
Hourly traffic chart
Section titled “Hourly traffic chart”A line chart displays the number of attendance events per hour throughout the day. This helps you identify:
- Morning rush — when most employees check in
- Lunch break patterns — check-out/check-in activity around midday
- End-of-day patterns — when most employees leave
- Off-hours activity — unexpected events outside normal working hours
Device distribution
Section titled “Device distribution”A pie chart shows how attendance events are distributed across your devices. This reveals:
- Which entrances or locations are most heavily used
- Whether any devices are underutilized
- Potential bottlenecks at high-traffic devices
Authentication method breakdown
Section titled “Authentication method breakdown”A chart showing the proportion of each authentication method used:

| PIN | Numeric code entry |
This helps you understand which authentication methods your employees prefer and whether specific methods have adoption issues.
Device-hour heatmap
Section titled “Device-hour heatmap”A heatmap grid with devices on one axis and hours on the other. Each cell’s color intensity represents the number of events for that device at that hour. The heatmap makes it easy to spot:
- Which devices are busiest and when
- Time-of-day patterns per location
- Unused device-hour combinations
